Availability and Reservations

Availability

You can check availability in several different ways:

  • Each cabin page has it's own availability calendar for the next 6 months - there is a link to each cabin on the main navigation menu at the top of each page - or click here for The Monashee Cabin or The Mackenzie Cabin.
  • Check out our secure online availability calendar with the option to book securely online.
  • Do it the old fashioned way and just give us a telephone call or send us an email - visit our Contact Page
  • if you don't find availability for the dates you are interested in, you may wish to check our Bed and Breakfast Inn site.

Reservations

There are also several ways to make an actual reservation. You can use our secure online reservations system which is available 24/7. Alternatively you can just give us a call on one of the telephone numbers listed on our contact page or send us an email with the required information. We do recommend the secure online boooking engine though as this is much more secure than sending credit card information via email.

To make a reservation using any method, you will need to provide us with the following:

  • your full name and address
  • your telephone and email contact information
  • a valid credit card including expiration and security code on back panel
  • the number of people in your party
  • the cabin name you wish to reserve
  • your check-in and check-out dates

Also, we encourage you to read all of our policies (below), especially our deposit & cancellation policy.

Deposits

  • All cabin reservations require a 50% deposit (at the time of booking) of the total reservation charge plus tax, or one night stay plus tax, whichever is greater. 
  • Payment in full is due 30 days prior to check in. Payment can be made by VISA or MASTERCARD.
  • If you book within 30 days of arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

  • We have a 30-day cancellation policy:
  • if you cancel your reservation at any time after making the booking there will be a $50 service fee
  • if you cancel your reservation with less than 30 days notice, the deposit and final payment will be retained unless we are able to re-rent the cabin in which case you will be refunded for each night that can be re-booked, less the $50 service fee.
  • no refunds for arrivals later than the original check in date, for early departures or for no-shows

 

Cleaning Policy

We make every effort to insure that your cabin is spotless and well maintained when you check in. Upon your arrival, if you find anything broken or out of the ordinary, please let us know immediately. Otherwise you may be deemed responsible. As renters you must assume responsibility for any damage including excessive cleaning costs caused during your stay. Frequent examples are stained carpets, furniture, bedding and towels, damaged furniture and kitchenware, unwashed dishes, pots and pans. It is our expectation that you will leave the cabin in a clean and tidy state. We will supply you with the neccessary cleaning products for tidying up before your departure. Please be respectful of the cabin and grounds and treat it like it was your own.

UPON CHECKING OUT, PLEASE:

IN GENERAL

  • Collect garbage from all rooms (remember coffee grounds) and leave it on the deck
  • put all recycle bottles and cans in the RECYCLE BIN on the deck
  • Properly arrange all indoor and outdoor furniture
  • Check under furniture and beds for clothing and children's toys etc

KITCHEN

  • Make sure all dishes, pots and pans are clean - washed and dried properly - and put away
  • Remove all items from fridge and cupboards
  • Wipe down fridge, stove, microwave, sink, counter and table tops
  • Sweep floor

BATHROOM

  • Gather all used bathroom towels and mats and leave them in the tub or shower
  • Sweep floor

LIVING ROOM AND BEDROOMS

  • Sweep floor and area carpets

Non compliance with the standard departure cleaning policy may result in an additional cleaning charge. Guest authorizes Griffin Lake Cabin Rentals to charge their credit card on file for any damages or excessive cleaning.Other Policies

  • Check-In time is between 4pm and 9pm - Please respect our check in time as to allow us the time necessary to prepare your cabin for your arrival.
  • Check-Out is anytime before 11am
  • no pets allowed on the property
  • no smoking, candles or incense burning inside the cabins
  • children must be supervised at all times, especially near the lake and river
  • adults must sign a waiver for themselves and children before using canoes, kayaks and pedal boat

Taxes

  • All rates are subject to the HST (The British Columbia Harmonized Sales Tax) - 12%
    • Harmonized Sales Tax, doesn't it sound pleasant...not! If you're concerned about our ridiculous tax levels, you may wish to join the Canadian Taxpayers Association. Consider that these taxes are not even paying all the bills and our debt continues to explode - check out the debt clock for a very sobering look at what the political class has saddled us with - debt increasing at about $1,000 per second!
